Counting Consciousness
This was a exciting landmark exhibition showing a culmination of 15 months work surrounding sustainability at GSA.
The challenge of the exhibition was how we could visually communicate our findings in a way that seemed true to the work itself. Always being fascinated by cartography, I thought why not create a giant, life-size map which plotted our learning journey!
The result being a fantastically colourful 3D map with coloured wool strands forming a timeline which led the viewer through the work. These strands all interrelated to show how sustainability is connected to everything we do.
To mark the opening of the exhibition, workshops were facilitated in the space as well a honey tasting with the local bee group.
To accompany and document the gallery exhibition, we designed and published a limited print run book that was distributed at a community feast at The Project cafe, Glasgow.
